The program combines classroom instruction, firearms safety, live-fire proficiency, and qualification to meet pistol licensing requirements for a new or amended concealed carry permit. No pistol permit or personal firearm is required to attend. Firearm rentals are available for the range qualification. Eye/ear protection is required for range qualification!

New York State Concealed Carry
Guardian Security offers New York State Concealed Carry firearms training in Deer Park, Long Island. Our course helps applicants meet the training requirements for a concealed carry handgun permit. This 18-hour, in-person CCW course includes: classroom instruction, firearms safety, and live-fire practice. Additionally, completing this course qualifies you for firearms proficiency and live fire proficiency. The course is taught by law enforcement firearms instructors who are qualified through the NRA and the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. Our comprehensive training exceeds New York State minimum standards and prepares our applicants to complete the firearms-training requirement for a concealed carry permit.
What You Will Need
You do not need to have a pistol permit nor a firearm to take this course. If you do not have a firearm, one can be rented for the firearms range qualification. This course will satisfy the pistol licensing agencies for submission of your pistol permit application to either obtain a concealed carry permit in New York State, or to amend your current restrictive proper cause issued permit, to a concealed carry permit “CCW”.
Refund Policy: Failure to come to class on the date the class is given will result in a loss of payment unless you give a 24-hour notice to reschedule. We will be happy to credit your payment to another class. This applies to the first 2 reschedules. No refunds will be issued.
