NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

The NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course is an instructor-led program designed to develop pistol-handling skills and provide comprehensive firearm education. The curriculum covers both semi-automatic pistols and revolvers. Before live-fire training at the range, each student’s foundational skills and individual needs will be assessed and addressed. Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, complete the Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and earn a course completion certificate signed by the NRA Secretary and their NRA Certified Instructor. The course also includes complimentary participation in the NRA Pistol Marksmanship Simulator Course (SimCo).
